Los Angeles Attractions
Los Angeles city is a must-see stop for anyone visiting California. However, it is a huge city, and unless you are planning on staying for months, you won’t have a chance to see it all. So, here a few suggestions of activities to experience within the city.
Catalina Island Take a fun ferry journey out to Santa Catalina Island where the beaches are heavenly, and six species of plant are found here and only here. You can take a boat to the island which takes just an hour, or for the more adventurous, there is a helicopter journey which will take fifteen minutes. You can horse-ride, cycle, sunbathe, hike and also partake in water activities such as scuba diving, on the island.
Hollywood
Without a doubt, you must visit Hollywood, as it is probably the most famous area in Los Angeles. In the area, you’ll find the quintessential Hollywood Sign, the Hollywood Bowl where you can catch amazing music performances, the famous Sunset Strip, Paramount Studios, and of course, the amazing Hollywood Walk of Fame where more than 2,000 stars featuring the names of celebrities, both real and fictional alike; both Kermit the Frog and the Simpsons have a star.
Staples Center
The Staples Center is a multi-purpose sports arena which is home to five professional sports teams and also hosts concerts and even the Grammys. The arena attracts almost 4,000,000 visitors each year to events such as the Figure Skating Championships, the first Latin Grammy Awards, the Summer X Games and HBO Championship Boxing matches.
Chinatown
For a taste of a totally different culture right within the city, head to Chinatown, you will feel as though you’ve stepped half way across the world. Also, Koreatown and Little Tokyo are very fun and interesting.
Finally…Shopping Shopping in L.A. is a regular hobby of celebrities coming down from the Hollywood Hills, and so many tourists visit the more famous shopping areas in the hope of glimpsing a celebrity. Take a walk down Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue and the Beverly Center.
